Local Accommodations

Via toll road:

Coming from the Philly area, come south on I-95 into Maryland (through the toll).  Take the first exit in Maryland: exit 109A towards ELKTON.

Stay on "Elkton Road" for a mile or two. Turn right onto Maryland Rt. 213. Follow 213 for several miles. When you get to the intersection with Rt. 273 (there is a light there), turn LEFT onto Rt. 273.

After you pass the gas station, look for the sign for "Hilltop Road" on your left. (about a mile) (Hill Top Inn is there.) Turn left onto Hilltop Road. Go about 1 mile. You will see the farm on your left (with a big red barn) just past Ed Moore Road. This is the training field.

There are two possibilities listed:

First way:

Take I-95 North to Exit 100 (North East/Rising Sun exit).  Bare left on ramp towards Rising Sun.  This is Rt. 272.

Take Rt. 272 for several miles. Turn Right onto Rt. 273 East (traffic light) towards Fair Hill/Elkton.

Stay on this road for about 4 or 5 miles. Turn right onto HILLTOP Road. (Hilltop Bar is there on the corner.) Follow Hilltop Road for about a mile. Pass Ed Moore Road. The farm (with a big red barn) is directly after that road on the left-hand side. This is the training field.

Second way:

Come up Route 1 North. Cross over the Conowingo Dam.

When the road divides, bare right onto Rt. 273 East towards Rising Sun. Stay on Rt. 273 East for several miles. Follow directions above.

Coming from the Lancaster, PA area, Go South on 272 until you cross the Maryland State line and then at the traffic light, turn left onto 273 East.

Go East on 273 about 4 or 5 miles. Look for the sign for "Hilltop Road" on your right. (Hilltop Bar is there.) Turn right onto Hilltop Road. Go about 1 mile. You will see the farm on your left (with the big red barn) just past Ed Moore Road. This is the training field.

Come down Main Street, Newark. At the end, take the middle of the three roads towards Maryland. (Rt. 273) Travel for about 5 - 7 minutes into Marlyand. Pass the High's store on your right. About 2 miles later, you will find the tracking field on your right; across from the Fair Hill Grand stand on the right.

Take I-95 North to North East exit (exit 100). At end of exit ramp, turn left (toward Rising Sun). Stay on this road for several miles (about 7 - 9 minutes). Pass Rising Sun High School on your right. Turn right onto Rt. 273 (there is a graveyard and a retirement home on the left hand side). Travel on Rt. 273 for about 10 miles. The tracking fields are on the left across from the Fair Hill Grand stand.

If you are coming from the Oxford area, there are several ways of getting to 273. If you come from closer to Rising Sun, follow the directions above once you get to 273. If you are coming from closer to Delaware, you can take Rt. 213 to 273, but you will turn left and the tracking field is a few yards away on the left.

Take I-95 South to Elkton exit (first exit in Maryland). Pass the McDonald's on the right. Turn right onto Appleton Road (a little past the McDonald's). Follow until you get to Rt. 273 (High's store on the corner). Turn left. Tracking field is about 2 miles down on the right hand side across from the Fair Hill Grand Stands.
